ABOUT THE ARTIST
Meghan Wardell is an Illustrator based out of Detroit, MI. She grew up in South-Eastern Michigan and graduated from The College for Creative Studies with a Bachelors in Illustration. She is an illustrator for and partner of Face Flair, a local art event company. She has also been self-employed doing commission work for a variety of companies and clients for many years.
Meghan's work is colorful and bursting with life. She loves to explore the negative spaces of a composition and fill those voids with magic. Children's illustration and entertainment based design is the primary focus of her work. The majority of her pieces are done using casein and watercolor, giving her work a loose and organic feel. She loves to explore and twist the suburban life aesthetic in her pieces. Her environments are magical and aim to transport the viewer to the worlds she creates.
When not painting faces or working on commissions, Meghan can be found formulating fantastical tales of far away places to inspire her next piece. She has an undying adoration for animals and a slightly unhealthy infatuation with sushi and pizza rolls.
